Miami School Stops Vaccinated Teachers from Seeing Students

Most people are itching for the chance to get their COVID-19 vaccine. Once they get the shot, it feels like they’re taking a step toward having a “normal” life once again.

One school in Miami is taking a different approach. Instead of inviting vaccinated teachers to interact with their students, they tell their employees not to interact with students if they’ve been inoculated.

What is the problem with the vaccine, according to the school? They believe that people who get the COVID-19 shot can shed virus components that could make others sick.

There is “Zero Risk” of Virus Shedding

Centner Academy is a private school in Miami that says it will not employ anyone who received the COVID-19 vaccine.

The school announced this decision in a letter, encouraging their staff to wait until further research was available on the vaccine. They asked everyone who wanted to get their shot to wait until the school year was over.

With over 200 million doses of the vaccine administered when the school released their letter, long-term side effects were classified as being “extremely unlikely.” The most severe issue involved the Johnson and Johnson vaccine that has the rare side effect of triggering blood clots up to three weeks after the immunization gets administered.

The school disagrees with that assessment.

“We are not 100% sure the COVID-19 injections are safe and there are too many unknown variables for us to feel comfortable at this current time,” the school said. “Until more is known, we must err on the side of caution.”
